Caljet was originally founded on April 6, 1982, by David S Alexander, as Caljet, Inc. and was for some time a wholesale marketer, trader and retailer of petroleum products.  Caljet has, over the last several years, changed its focus completely towards its terminalling business.

Caljet is the only independent terminal operator in Phoenix , owning over 430,000 barrels of petroleum products storage and over 15 acres of land at the Phoenix tank farm complex.  With a shortage of fuel storage in Arizona, Caljet is positioned, with a combination of a strong balance sheet, to expand its facilities providing its clients, and the citizens of Arizona, access to sufficient terminal storage of petroleum products for a growing market.
 
Caljet’s expansion project, which is currently under way, will double its storage capacity.
